Wyrm

Live performance, approx. 2.5hrs, shown as part of Mind the Mind Gaps, at Gallery 202, Central Saint Martins, 2020.

A durational live piece exploring Queer Monstrosity, Northern identity, and weaponising the threatened/threatening body, through the penultimate action of the Lambton Worm folktale. The single action of this piece was tying 6 inch nails to my limbs and chest with neon green rope, facing outwards like the spearheads on Sir John Lambton's armour when he fought and killed the wyrm.

Stills from video footage by Sal Morton.

Rehearsal images by Alex Firth.
