Goldfish Curtains

Ink and cotton fabric, two pieces 4.8m by 1.4m each, various locations, 2020.

Part textile work, part archive, these pieces are functioning curtains designed to obstruct view but not light. Created in response to the requirement that my live work be censored when it contains nudity, Goldfish Curtains are at once an answer and a set of questions posed on the status of real and represented bodies within art institutions.

These pieces have been shown as an individual work as well as censorship tools in subsequent performances, such as Wyrm.
