Linocut Documentation

Ongoing project, 2019-present.

An interest in making linocut prints of my live work came from exploring modes of documentation that prioritise metaphysical representation, such as tone, atmosphere and affect. Using the slow, methodical process of creating a plate from which to print as time to reflect on a piece, a dialectical relationship between the live moment and its representation has emerged in my practice.

These prints have existed separately, as individual images and compositions of multiple images, and as part of other works, such as in PUNCTUM: Looking and Goldfish Curtains. A selection of prints are available for purchase on my Etsy store.
